• Collaboration Time/Late Start
  for 2008-09 School Year
  This month, the Peninsula School Board approved the contract between the district and the teachers’ association. One very important feature of this contract provides staff a one-hour late start every Wednesday morning for the purpose of school improvement planning and collaboration.

• Class Lists
  The Class lists will be posted on the front door of the school August 28th after 3:00 pm. Please note that all class lists are firm until September 22nd. Class supply lists will also be posted on the front door of the school. Meet the teacher will be August 28th from 3:00 to 4:00 pm.

• YMCA Information for Late Starts on Wednesdays.
  Costs for Wednesday YMCA before school program  will be $50 per month.  Parents will need to pre register since there is a limited capacity. When registering please indicate "Wednesday only".

  All Day Kindergarten is now standard at all Peninsula Elementary Schools for every kindergartener, at no charge, through the rest of the school year. Eligible Kindergarteners are boys or girls living in the district who are 5 years old by August 31, 2008. To register you child, please bring you child's birth certificate, immunization records and proof of your address (i.e, power bill, rental agreement).

• Are You Going To Volunteer In Your Child's Classroom Or Chaperone A Field Trip in the 2008-09 School Year?
  If you are new to the school or you don't remember the last time you filled out a form, you need to fill out a new volunteer form at the office.  After turning in the completed form you will be cleared for 2 years to volunteer or be a chaperone.
