Foreign Exchange Student Program

Several foreign exchange students sponsored by different exchange agencies are hosted in the Peninsula School District each year.  These students attend either Gig Harbor or Peninsula High School.

Placement of foreign exchange students in Peninsula School District are handled through state approved agencies at the district office.

Each spring, agencies that are interested in placing students in the district go through an application process. Agency application packets are due to the district by April 1.

Approved agencies are then sent a student placement application packet that must be completed and returned to the district by June 1.

Upon approval of the student packet, exchange students and their host families can work with their resident high school to complete the enrollment process.

For further information on the process for enrolling an exchange student in Peninsula School District, contact Roxann Tallman at (253) 530-1007 or email tallmanr@psd401.net
