  This class introduces students to aviation careers, local aviation industries, and activities related to aviation. The class will familiarize students with all the elements associated with flying and aviation.  The basis of instruction will be the knowledge requirements required to become a private pilot.  This course will also offer insight into other careers associated with flying, such as aircraft maintenance and aviation support. 

The Advanced Aviation course is a continuation of Aviation which introduces students to the aviation industry and career opportunities.  This course will specifically focus on the next steps for students who plan to go into commercial aviation operations as pilots.  It will cover instrument flight procedures, operations, and knowledge students must know to conduct instrument flight and explores some critical elements of commercial aviation operations pertaining to all-weather  operations common to many Commercial and Air Transport operations.
