Advisory Activity Table
The following table is included to help district administration and CTE teachers identify acceptable types, frequency, and duration of program advisory activities. This table is not meant to be the final word but is a guide of appropriate activities. Ideas for advisory proposals not included on this table should be submitted to the building principal for approval prior to performing the activity. New ideas for advisory activities will be added as they are developed.
The district CTE coordinator and building department head/coordinator are available to assist in setting up these types of activities for building teachers. Depending on the individual teacher and state of the CTE program, a teacher should expect to spend time on 3-6 of these types of activities a year. Over a five year period teachers should have performed some activity in nearly every category.
