Symbolism Assignment

Make a list of five to eight symbols from the book. Discuss details and share quotations from the text.

How is each symbol reflected in films, other books, posters, music, etc.

If you were directing a film of this book, what recurring symbol(s) would you use?  Why?

Product:

Create an artistic representation of the symbols from the book.  Each group member must select one; no members may choose the same symbol. Use the drawings, graphics, or a mini-collage to create a your vision of these different symbols.

Each member should write an accompanying explanation about the symbol.  Include a quotation from the book (with an internal citation).
