Outline Format - This will work for both paragraph & multiple paragraph essays

This assignment requires you to write 1 paragraph about the prompt, (which is also on this website).  For each essay that is assigned this year, you will first be responsible for writing an outline of your paper.  The outline is to follow the format I gave in class.  Below you will find an exact copy of what I wrote on the board.  Your outline is due

The outline format will help you with your prewriting ideas for your essay.  You are not to simply copy the format and turn it in, you are to include your reasons, arguments, supports/evidence and quotes where appropriate.  Remember, an outline is a MAP of your paper. The only 2 sentences I want written out are the thesis statement and the topic sentence.  All other entries are to be in words or phrases.  You don’t have to write the paper in the outline, just map out your ideas.  If you have questions, please ask for help.  I’m happy to work with you before or after school, or at lunch.

Remember to COLOR CODE your outline
