Soviet Propaganda

 

Propaganda played an important political function in the former Soviet Union in convincing individuals to support the ideology and practices of communism. One form that received particular attention from the government was the mass production of posters. Through these posters the government could communicate a simple and clearly understandable message to a large audience. Included below is a selection of posters made during the period of Lenin and Stalin.
