To solidify your understanding of the Middle Ages you will be composing a paragraph analyzing a specific belief or value of this time period. Since you will be drawing upon knowledge from both English and history, this assignment will count equally in both classes.
I. PARAGRAPH ASSIGNMENT
A. Writing Prompt: Explain how a commonly held belief or value from the Middle Ages is evident in one (1) piece of medieval literature or three (3) pieces.
B. Your answer must be supported with at least four (4) direct quotes.
A. Use a standard paragraph format to write your response.
B. Organize your paragraph around a clear and developed topic sentence.
C. Support your answer with specific and detailed examples/evidence from history and literature.
A. The paragraph must be word-processed using an appropriate 12-point font.
B. Set the margins at 1 inch and the spacing at double.
C. Provide a title for your paragraph.

E. Page numbers are not required for papers shorter than two pages.
