Community Action and Reflection

During the sophomore year we examine many cultures and the beliefs and values that shaped them.  What choices could individuals make? Volunteering for a community activity should reflect your beliefs.  One activity can complete the five hours of service for the semester or you can develop various opportunities to total  5 hours.  Remember that you must assist people other than family members and can’t be paid for your efforts. An adult supervisor, (or a parent if you design your own project) must sign verifying the time volunteered.

Signed forms must include the following service reflection.:

1.  what you experienced – be specific & detailed;

2.  your expectations versus what you encountered;

3.  your reason(s) for selecting this project and what it shows about your views of

     contributing to your community; and

4. if you would consider continuing this activity as a volunteer or in a paid position and

    your reason(s) for your response.

Type the four paragraph response and attach the verification signature(s).
