Students will investigate science topics such as  animals, plants, astronomy, space satellites, rockets and flight, weather, color,  the oceans, and other hands on activities in  their lives in the Pacific Northwest and Gig Harbor.  Special topics may include looking at the planet Mars, earthquakes and volcanoes,  Antarctica, and/or  the uses of satellite imagery in the study of  the earth.  There will be a semester project that students will be required to complete for credit hours.  You may work on this project in a partnership with other students or by yourself.   Good class attendance is very important in this class.
