Class Grading Scale

The following Scale is used to report the components of of the class that are not graded but are an important part of the learning process. Use this scale when looking at Parent Connect to determine areas of strength and weakness.

Homework

 

Assignment is complete and turned in on time.*

Stamped assignments are always worth 2 points.

Assignment is incomplete or turned in late.

Assignment is missing.

Teamwork and

Participation

Student is always: 1) Prepared to participate and 2) Follows the Group Work Guidelines.

Student is usually: 1) Prepared to participate and 2) Follows the Group Work Guidelines.

Student is occasionally: 1) Prepared to participate and 2) Follows the Group Work Guidelines.

Student is rarely: 1) Prepared to participate and 2) Follows the Group Work Guidelines.

Organization

Student’s notebook is turned in on time, complete, and in order.

Student’s notebook is turned in on time and generally in order, but 1-3 assignments are missing.

Student’s notebook is not turned in on time, is out of order, and/or several assignments are missing.

Student’s notebook is not turned in.

Classroom Behavior

Student always shows respect for class values.

Student usually shows respect for class values.

Student occasionally shows respect for class values.

Student rarely shows respect for class values.

*5 minutes into class. If you are absent, you will have one class cycle (the next time I see you) to turn it in.
