OUR MISSION:

To promote and enrich the education and well-being of teen parents and empower them in parenting skills, job skills and seeking further education.

The Henderson Bay High School Teen Parent is a Peninsula
School District, Washington State designated GRADS (Graduation, Reality, and Dual Role Skills) program within a high school career and technical family and consumer science program for pregnant teens and young parents (male and female).  The focus is on practical problems of the adolescent parent at home, at school and at work.  We help students develop knowledge and skills to resolve problems in real life as they pursue their high school diploma and/or seek further education.  An on-site child care center is available for full-time HBHS students.  Early Head Start is also available on-site for young parents.

Eligibility for the program:

  • Attend school in Peninsula School District
  • Desire to complete high school, vocational training or attend a community college or technical college Running Start Program
  • Complete secondary academic course work on other Peninsula School District campuses as well as access Henderson Bay services.
