Advanced Placement biology is a college level,
introductory biology course for self-directed students. AP Biology
topics include: molecular biology, heredity, evolution, botany,
organisms, and populations, and incorporates reading material from a
college textbook. The laboratory work is extensive and is the equivalent
of college lab work. The two main goals of AP Biology are to help
students develop a conceptual framework for modern biology and to help
students gain an appreciation of sciences as a process. Some summer work
will be required. The AP Examination is optional and at the students’
own expense. FEE: $2.00 lab notebook |
